Bro. Danny Mock, started out as Sunday night pianist at OBBC on July 20th, 2008.

In April 2010 he assumed the role of choir director too. In April 2021 OBBC called Bro. Danny to fill a larger role in the music department. He plays the piano, organ, digital piano, and continues to work with our choir and Worship Planning Team on a weekly basis and has the freedom to serve where he thinks he is needed most in a given worship service.

A native of Sylvania, GA, Bro. Danny’s love for Christian music started in his childhood in rural Screven County, GA where his family lived until he was 11 yrs old. He cites his childhood mentor, Mrs. Sue Jones, (pianist of the Farmdale Baptist Church near Sylvania at the time) as the reason he learned to play the piano. At age 19 he purchased an organ and taught himself how to play it. He has played and lead worship regularly for the past 43 years in churches in Chatham, Effingham, and Bryan counties.

Bro. Danny has 2 adult daughters, Lauren Marie Mitchell (Elliott) and Lindsey Nichole Wright (Walter).

He is blessed with 7 grandchildren – Ansley, Hayden, Brysen, Gracie, Cayden, Paisley, and Dawsen whom he loves very much.
